this squeezing in my chest is all because of you.

these tears in my eyes are all because of you.

this smile on my face is all because of you.

i am who i am all because of you.

it was the first snow of the season.

i reached my hand out, letting a snowflake fall delicately upon my fingertips.

i turned to you, a smile plastered on my face.

you laughed. “you look like a child.”

“it’s just so wonderful!”

you kissed my nose, pulling me tight.

“it’s perfect for you then.”

‘hello my pretty.’

he rubbed himself against my legs, the way i love.

‘did you have a wonderful day?’ i asked.

he smiled at me. i took that as a yes.

‘are you happy to see me, Love?’

he jumped up on the bench, then, and touched my face with his dainty little paw.

i smiled.

‘meow.’ he said and began purring.
